International Forest Products and Tricell Forest Products announce partnership

FOXBOROUGH, Mass.  International Forest Products Corporation (IFP) of Boston, Mass. has partnered with Tricell Pulp and Paper Ltd. of Hong Kong. The new entity will consolidate the sales and sourcing efforts of the two companies with the objective of building pulp volumes into the Chinese market.

Said Mr. Wang Xiaojing, Vice President of ChinaLight and Chairman of Tricell, “Partnering with a strong company like IFP will bring tremendous value to Tricell Forest Products. IFP’s financial strength and worldwide mill relationships will be tremendous assets to our sales team as we look to grow our position in the Chinese market.”

Founded in 1972 by Robert K. Kraft, IFP is one of the world’s largest manufacturers and distributors of forest products commodities. The primary grades traded by IFP include:  containerboard, recovered fiber, pulp, and solid wood products. IFP has subsidiary offices and sales personnel located around the world.


The company was founded in 1988 and has head office in Hong Kong, with subsidiary offices located in Vancouver, B.C., Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou, China. Tricell has been an active participant selling pulp and recovered fiber to the Chinese market for the past 20 years. Tricell is a subsidiary of ChinaLight industries, a state-owned entity based in Beijing, China.
