Established in 1972, IFP is a global leader and North America’s largest trader of forest products commodities.
At home around the world, International Forest Products (IFP) has become a leader in the international forest products trade. It is a company in which “think global, act local” is more than just a working philosophy. It is a way of life.
IFP proudly celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2022. This video provides a look back at its humble beginnings and illustrates the Kraft Family’s guiding philosophies that continue to make IFP a success.
Our company was built on and continues to grow with loyal, long-term, multi-generational supplier and customer relationships. Our core team is comprised of experienced, veteran professionals who coordinate all aspects of our transactions. We are committed to providing the highest standards of customer service to our suppliers, customers, and sales personnel. With sales to converters in 100+ countries, we are equipped to conduct business in any language. We have intimate knowledge of local customs, traditions, market conditions, and pricing trends.
IFP’s strong financial base and access to capital is a valuable commodity for our supplying mills, freeing up their resources for internal use. With almost 50 years of trading history in the international arena, IFP has a wealth of experience in identifying and protecting against unnecessary financing, foreign exchange fluctuations and credit risks. For more than 30 years, IFP has insured our receivables via a third party, building a supportive relationship that allows our suppliers and customers to grow worldwide. In addition, IFP has a significant amount of credit available from a syndicate of major international financial institutions, many of whom we have enjoyed decades-long relationships.
