FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – International Forest Products LLC (IFP) today announced the promotion of Michael Collins to Chief Operating Officer.
Collins, who most recently served as Executive Vice President, joined IFP in 2008 and has held a series of leadership positions of increasing responsibility throughout the organization. During his tenure, he has overseen IFP’s domestic containerboard trading and operations, as well as the company’s finance, market intelligence, information technology, and transportation departments.
Over the past 18 years, Collins has played a key role in the growth of The Kraft Group’s domestic containerboard and corrugating packaging businesses. He has been instrumental in evaluating acquisition opportunities and developing and executing sales and trading strategies that have helped expand the company’s market presence and capabilities.
Most recently, Collins has led operational efficiency initiatives across the organization, working to strengthen processes, improve performance, and position the company for continued growth. As Chief Operating Officer, he will continue to support IFP’s extensive network of global relationships while helping develop and execute strategies that drive the company’s long-term success.
“Michael has consistently demonstrated outstanding leadership, deep industry knowledge, and an unwavering commitment to our customers, employees, and business partners,” said Dan Kraft, President and Chief Executive Officer of International Forest Products. “His broad experience across our organization and his strategic approach to growing our business make him exceptionally qualified for this role. Michael has been an integral part of IFP’s success, and I am confident he will continue to help lead the company to new opportunities and achievements as Chief Operating Officer.”
Collins succeeds Daniel Moore, who stepped down from the Chief Operating Officer role in 2025 after a distinguished career with the company. Moore will continue to support IFP as an advisor, ensuring a smooth leadership transition and providing ongoing strategic guidance to the organization.
The promotion reflects IFP’s commitment to developing leadership from within and positions the company to build on its strong foundation as a global leader in forest products trading, marketing, and supply chain solutions.
